چکیده

Methods We treated 108, 80 obese and 28 non-obese, children diagnosed as having T2DM. Among these patients, 26 obese and 23 non-obese children were assigned to pharmacological therapies during the course of diabetes. The frequency of progression to pharmacologic therapies was significantly higher in non-obese than in obese patients (82.1% vs. 32.5%, P<0.05). As to the indication for pharmacologic therapies, oral hypoglycemic drugs (OHD) and/or insulin were started if the HbA1c value exceeded 7.0% despite dietary and exercise management.
